PLOT

In an effort to forge an alliance between their nations, the Empress of Austria arranges for her charming yet spoiled daughter, Marie Antoinette, to marry France's crown prince, Louis XVI. Upon her arrival in Versailles, Antoinette encounters Oscar Francois de Jarjayes, the Captain of the Royal Guards, who appears to be a dashing young man. To her surprise, she discovers that Oscar is actually a woman!
