PLOT
The episodes focused on the misadventures of a father-and-son dachshund team. Doggie Daddy (played by Daws Butler) did the best he could to raise his boisterous kid Augie. The adoring Augie frequently referred to his father as "dear old Dad." When Augie would fail his father, Daddy would gently reprimand, "Augie, my son, my son," and when Augie would say or do something that made him proud, Daddy would turn to the audience and grin, "Dat's my boy who said dat!"
