PLOT
At Higashizaka High School, Daisuke Higashida is a serious first-year student. Even though he is dissatisfied with his family, who doesn't laugh at all and wears him out, he leads a quiet everyday life. However, his father's business fails one day, leaving him unable to pay his allowances, telephone bills, or commuting fare. Daisuke chooses to work at a neighboring family restaurant after his father instructs him to get a part-time job in order to avoid riding his bicycle 15 kilometers to school.
