The Tokugawa family sought to bolster its hold over Japan in the Fifth Year of the Keicho period. In order to get access to the Sanada clan, Hidetada Tokugawa has arrived at the gates of Ueda Castle. The Sanada, however, and their retainers, had other ideas.
