PLOT
Monkey Turn is a sports anime that is based on the same-named manga by Kawai Katsutoshi that was printed in Weekly Shounen Sunday. Tadano Kenji, the main character of the anime, is too small to pursue his goal of becoming a professional baseball player, but his coach suggests boat racing instead. Tadano-san suddenly runs into his ex-girlfriend one day, and they make each other promises: if she stays true to him, he will become Japan's top racer in three years. Kenji-san came up with the "Monkey Turn" boat technique while visiting his fiancée. Kenji has a significant advantage over other boaters because to the Monkey Turn, but is it enough for him to become the best?
