PLOT
A video blogger who fakes cryptid encounters to increase his views ends up with more than he bargained for when a real monster massacres his team. In another area, a creature like a sandworm preys on pupils, setting off a desperate battle for survival on their own school grounds. As more of these attacks by enigmatic creatures take place, researcher Sousuke Banba sets out to solve the mystery. He searches the locations of recent attacks using only the keyword "Kagewani" as a guide in the aim of discovering information that may help him finally put an end to the animals. However, when the pharmaceutical corporation Sarugaku begins to interfere with his inquiry, Sousuke discovers that these risks to mankind are even closer to home.
