PLOT
Three high school kids named Arisu, Karube, and Chta are uninterested in their present circumstances. Arisu wishes he could live in a different, more interesting world at a celebration with fireworks. As a result, his desire came true, and the trio was carried away into what appeared to be a parallel post-apocalyptic world. They enter the festival, which appears to be empty, and are welcomed by a woman who informs them that they have already "joined their game." She tells them after they finish the game that they must play games to survive in Borderland.
