PLOT
High school student Akane Motomiya, her classmate Tenma Morimura, and their underclass pal Shimon Nagareyama are drawn into a mysterious old well on the opening day of a new academic term. They find themselves in Ky , a different realm that mimics Kyoto during the Heian Period, when they awaken. Akane is the Ryjin no Miko, according to Fujihime, the young scion of the Star Clan , who has arrived to protect Ky from the Aspirations of the Oni Clan. Tenma and Shimon, two of Akane's pals, are among the eight attractive, unmarried men known as the Hachiy () who assist her in this mission. Akane is first perplexed by her new situation, but she gradually learns to accept her fate and comprehend the world of Ky.
