PLOT
The heavens perform a holy ceremony known as ETM12 once every 60 years. This tradition involves choosing deserving Eto-musume—celestial beings that represent various animals—to join the Chinese zodiac, or Eto-shin. However, the original batch of Eto-shin have reigned ever since the first ETM12 two thousand years ago, and no one has been able to unseat them. A cat Eto-musume named Nyaa-tan wants to join the zodiac in the ongoing ETM12. She needs to get 12 seals—one for each Eto-shin—to accomplish her goal. To accomplish this, she must use Sol/Lull, heavenly energy produced by people's happy feelings, to triumph in a variety of conflicts. Her powers as an Eto-musume, however, are significantly inferior to those of a single Eto-shin, making this mission challenging. She thus need a continuous supply of energy. However, Nyaa-tan meets Takeru Amato by happenstance, a man who has recently moved into the flat where she is residing covertly. Takeru learns that he gives forth excellent grade Sol/Lull, which distinguishes him from most individuals, much to Nyaa-delight. tan's This marks the start of Takeru and Nyaa-story. tan's Takeru encounters the Eto-shin and starts to piece together a mystery past as he helps Nyaa-tan with her dreams.
