PLOT
Momoko Sakura is an elementary school kid who enjoys manga and the well-known idol Momoe Yamaguchi. Because of her youth and little stature, she is frequently referred to as "Chibi Maruko-chan." She resides in a small town with her parents, grandparents, and older sister. She learns and enjoys fun with many of her schoolmates, notably her close friend Tama-chan, the members of the student council Maruo-kun and Migiwa-san, and the B-class trio of "little master" Hanawa-kun, Hamaji-Bu Taro, and Sekiguchi-kun. This is a lighthearted and entertaining anime that emphasizes the little pleasures in life.
