PLOT
In the book, Sara Pezzini, an NYPD homicide investigator, acquires the Witchblade, a paranormal, sentient gauntlet that joins with a female host and grants her a variety of abilities so she can battle supernatural evil. Sara tries to perfect the Witchblade's abilities and ward off others who have ulterior motives for it, such as businessman Kenneth Irons and his bodyguard Ian Nottingham.
