PLOT
Chihiro Furuya is a male high school student who has a strong interest in zombies. He collects videogames, movies, and manga about zombies and has even expressed a desire to "kiss a zombie girl." He makes an effort to revive his pet cat, Babu, after it passes away by using an antique document that details how to make a potion for resurrection. At this point, he meets Rea Sanka, a young woman who has escaped her house. She tries to kill herself by drinking a sample of the "resurrection" elixir made from the deadly Hydrangea macrophylla flower, but it doesn't work. She gets into a fight with her father and then accidentally dies after falling off a cliff. She turns into a zombie, though, and must eat hydrangea leaves to survive as a result of the potion. The narrative centers on Chihiro and his brand-new "zombie girlfriend."
