PLOT
Prince Justin, a human prince from a country on the shore, is the love of Marina's life. Following a giant cyclops' chase and a three-headed sea serpent's attack on a shipwreck, Marina saves Justin from drowning. Then, in an effort to capture Justin's love, she strikes a pact with the sea witch Hedwig to briefly transform into a human. As Justin and Marina become closer, Justin decides to propose to Princess Cecily since he believes she saved him from drowning. Princess Cecily is a human princess. When Justin eventually recalls that Marina was the one who saved his life, Marina has already changed back into a mermaid. While coping with Cecily's attempts to have Justin marry her and Hedwig's intentions to seize control of the kingdom, the two continue to meet in secret and seek a way to be together. Winnie the seahorse, Bobo the tropical fish, and Ridley the sea otter are among Marina and Justin's underwater allies. Anselm, a wizard, and Chauncey, Justin's page, also provide a hand.
