PLOT
Professional assassin Mireille Bouquet excels at what she does. However, her life becomes even more precarious when she responds to an email from a young Japanese girl named Yumura Kirika encouraging her to go on "a pilgrimage to the past." Mireille and Kirika resolve to work together to uncover the truth about a millennia-old organization that has ruled both of their lives since before they were ever born, as a haunting song evoking memories of a long-ago incident plays in the background. As a result, their working codename, Noir, which refers to an ancient fate involving two maidens who rule over death, serves as their only lead in their hunt.
