PLOT
"Maria Holic" is a comedy yuri (girls' love) anime based on the manga of the same name. The series focuses on a high school girl named Kanako Miyamae who transfers to the prestigious Ame no Kisaki Catholic girls' school because she is attracted to girls and hopes to find a romantic partner. However, her ideal school life takes a turn for the worse when she encounters Mariya Shidou, a charming and perfect student who turns out to be a sadistic boy cross-dressing as a girl to win a family inheritance. Mariya discovers Kanako's secret (that she's attracted to girls) and uses this information to blackmail her, leaving Kanako in a constant state of fear and frustration.
