PLOT
In an alternate reality from the late Edo period, "Amanto" (also known as "Sky People"), an alien race, assault humanity. Samurai from Edo, Japan, fight to protect Earth, but the shgun shamefully surrenders after realizing the aliens' might. He consents to an unfair agreement with the invaders, prohibiting the use of swords in public and allowing the invaders to enter the nation. The swords of the samurai are taken away, and the Tokugawa bakufu (shogunate) is reduced to a puppet state.
