PLOT
Toru Acura, a retired soldier of 20 years' age, is currently searching for his place in life after the war. He comes upon Chaika Trabant, a sorceress who is 14 years old and is carrying a coffin, and he decides to follow her in the hopes of rediscovering some sense of significance in his life. The two are also accompanied by Toru's adoptive sister Akari, who is the only member of the group who has a job and is hence the group's primary source of subsistence.
