PLOT
Akihito Kanbara, a sophomore in high school in the literature club, considers himself to be a "Meganest." Although he looks to be human, he is actually part Ymu, which renders him immortal and immune to injury because he can recover so quickly. When it seems as though freshman Mirai Kuriyama is about to try suicide by jumping off the school roof one day, Akihito runs into her. Mirai is despised because of her power to control blood, which is seen as heresy even by other members of the underworld. After Akihito saves Mirai, strange things start to happen.
