PLOT
Flash Gordon and his son Rick flee from Ming the Merciless, who has depleted his planet Mongo's resources and seeks to exploit Earth. Ming attempts to brainwash Flash's wife, Dale Arden, but she resists until her death, with her psyche eventually integrated into the Defenders' supercomputer Dynac X. To defend Earth from Ming's invasion and other threats, Flash teams up with Mandrake, his assistant Lothar, and The Phantom, along with their children, to form the Defenders.
