G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero is a military-themed action figure and toy line from Hasbro's G.I. Joe franchise, running from 1982 to 1994. During this time, it produced over 500 action figures and 250 vehicles and playsets. The line was revived in 1997 and has continued in various forms to this day. It was also supported by two animated series and a popular comic series published by Marvel Comics, which helped establish the G.I. Joe brand as a significant part of pop culture.
