PLOT

A young boy, Tooichi, finds an old lamp in his grandfather’s shed and plays with it. His grandfather tells him the story of how the lamp changed their lives. Minosuke, Tooichi’s grandfather, was a young man who witnessed Western lamps for the first time. He became fascinated with them and made a living from lamps, which transformed his town.
