With the help of his new found friend, Shaw, Manabu decides to leave the SDF. As he lingers on his decision, Manabu watches reports of the continued bombings on space-trains. He learns that the girl from the 323 Express, whom he feared dead, was resuscitated. Upon hearing this news, Manabu's passion for the SDF is restored and he is reinstated in time to help Sirius platoon locate the bomber.
