InuYasha desperately searches for Kikyo's remains, but has no luck in the matter. The protagonists revisit Shintaro's village, where it is later ravaged by a swarm of demons. They are met by an elderly priest, who tells about Kikyo being washed up at the end of a riverbank two days prior on the other side of the mountain. InuYasha goes in that direction in hopes of finding her...
