Mei begins looking into Ashihara's research from the 1960s and finds a reference to something called the "Orthogonal Diagonalyzer," before being approached by Yukie Konoko, a government agent, who unknowingly helps her to make an important realization regarding the archetypes: they can bend and distort the fabric of space-time.
