The ventriloquist Tengan puts on a show about a ventriloquist who becomes posed by his dummy and murders his wife. Tengan asks Kogoro to watch him so the show performance doesn't become a reality. Kogoro turns him down. The next morning, Tengan's wife is killed. But is the dummy actually responsible?
