He requests Dan to join a case allotted to A Class, and Dan grants his wish, asking the whole of Q Class to join. The scene is of a murder, of Ootori, who has been murdered due to a pot thrown on his head from the floor above in his house. The only clue is a series of jumbled letters left on the victim's computer monitor. Kazuma uses a decoding software written by himself, but fails to decode the dying message...
