YotarÅ becomes successful as Sukeroku on TV and playing to packed theaters while Konatsu assists with musical accompaniment. Their son Shin is also immersed in the world of rakugo. Higuchi tries to get Yakumo to read some new rakugo that he has written but Yakumo tears them up, saying rakugo is dead and no longer relevant. YotarÅ and Konatsu agree to perform a rakugo at Shin's school, but YotarÅ tricks Konatsu into performing "Jugemu" (寿é™ç„¡) which she does to great applause. YotarÅ tries to get Konatsu to perform again, but she refuses.
