Nori and Ururu are introduced as Ureshiko's childhood friends, who tell her to fight Cruje to protect the Wonderland. Tatsumi begins his work at a publishing company, and starts his first assignment—to secure the rights to local author Tamotsu Asaba's new book. Sayaka is followed home by some of her classmates. On the way, she uses her magic to send the others sliding down an enormous sand dune, but they are saved by Ureshiko at the last minute. Tatsumi encounters both Sayaka and Ureshiko, and invites the younger girl to dinner...
