The Enterprise, the local newspaper, periodically publishes a few readers' poems and Emily sends one to the newsroom, confident it would be published. When the long-awaited moment for the newspaper comes out, Jimmy discovers that Emily's poem hasn't been published and she secretly buys all the copies of the paper so she can't notice and be disappointed.
