The series begins in Japan, in the year 2030. Yun Arikawa and Haberu Katō, two workers at the ''do-it-all'' Otaki Factory, are hired to investigate strange power fluctuations at an abandoned mansion. They find a hidden radio that’s picking up a repeating broadcast, which Yun identifies as an old Indian folk song, and trace it to a radio-monitoring station called Misakioku. Meanwhile, graduate student Mei Kamino is brought in to investigate a strange alarm at Misakioku, and discovers that the alarm is connected to the same broadcast...
