After escaping from the giant castle Susanoo, Takasugi joins up with Katsura, Sakamoto, and Izo. Sakamoto says he is looking for a man named Seimei who has the same power to cross time as the chronometer. Takasugi opposes Sakamoto, who says he will use Seimei's power to turn back time and create a new era. Sakamoto leaves the hideout due to a clash of opinions, while Takasugi remembers a certain memory from Nagasaki. On the other hand, Seimei, a person in the middle of the turmoil, appears in front of Sakamoto and Izo, who are investigating the town of Kyoto.
