The Bakumatsu. An era when idealists passionately fight for the future of Japan in accordance with their own beliefs. Takasugi Shinsaku, a lucky adventurer from Choshu, tries to sneak aboard one of the Shogunate's navy ships along with his partner, Katsura Kogoro. They are after a legendary treasure that is said to possess the power to manipulate time. Upon learning that the shogunate is after the power for themselves, Takasugi conspires to destroy the device.
